The level 2 NVQ in Logistics enables learners to gain a thorough understanding of all things Logistics. The qualification offers the opportunity to prove competence of industrial performance, knowledge and understanding and to recognise the ability of individuals working in the sector. The topics covered include everything from procedures for loading, storing, warehousing, resourcing and transporting loads to multi-drop delivery, safety and quality.
What does the NVQ cover?
The qualifications cover three separate progression routes, designed to enable learners to gain a qualification that directly relates to their specific role. Each award covers mandatory and optional units:
Carry & deliver goods - mandatory units
• Contributing to effective working relationships • Maintaining the safety and security of load, self and property • Contributing to the provision of customer services • Completing pre-journey and post-journey procedures • Planning the route and timings for the delivery and collection of loads • Transporting goods and materials
Storage & warehousing - mandatory units
• Contributing to effective working relationships • Contribute to the maintenance of health, safety and security in the workplace
Traffic Office - mandatory units
• Contributing to effective working relationships • Contributing to the provision of customer services • Ensuring your own actions reduce risks to health and safety • Planning, organising and improving work • Investigating the suitability of collection or delivery points for loading and unloading • Routing & scheduling of loads • Quoting for transportation of goods
